Miranda Evans started taking dance classes at the early age of 2 at Bobbi Collins Dance Studio in Rocky Mount, NC and she remained a part of their dance community until she graduated high school in 1999. While studying at Bobbi's, Miranda became an assistant teacher which allowed her the opportunity to influence young, aspiring dancers and to pass along her passion for dance.
While in high school, Miranda auditioned and became a "Caravan Kid" with Hoctor's Dance Troupe. As a part of this touring group, Miranda was given the opportunity to travel the country and perform at places such as Disney Land, Busch Gardens, Disney World, Dollywood, Las Vegas and New York. This experience provided her the chance to dance with other top performers and choreographers from across the nation.
Miranda continued her dance training at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, where she auditioned and made it into the highly competitive Dance Performance Program. While at ECU, Miranda performed in several faculty choreographed dance concerts and student choreographed pieces. Throughout her college career, she traveled annually to the American College Dance Festival Association (ACDFA), where she performed in dance pieces presented for adjudication. In December of 2005, Miranda graduated as a double major, earning a BFA in both Dance Performance and Theatrical Design and Production.
In the Fall of 2008, Miranda was accepted into the graduate program at UNC and earned a full scholarship towards her Master's degree in Theatrical Production. She has lived up and down the east coast working at professional LORT B theaters and the title of Technical Director.
Miranda began working at Crystal's Elite Dance Studio when it opened in the Fall of 2007. In the studio's 4th year, Miranda officially partnered with owner Crystal Harrelson and became studio Co-Owner. While working at Crystal's Elite, Miranda's choreography has received overall awards and prestigious choreography awards.
