Bryant Newsome discovered his love of dance later in life. While attending University of North Carolina-Wilmington, Bryant became a member of the dance crew Physical Graffiti. This dance crew allowed Bryant to explore the wonderful art of dance performance. During weekly jam sessions, he was able to work on his choreography skills in the style of hip hop. After graduating from UNC-W, Bryant taught several Master Classes throughout eastern North Carolina. Bryant's reputation as a dedicated leader and choreographer followed him all the way to the doors of Crystal's Elite Dance Studio.
In the Spring of 2011, Bryant was commissioned to choreograph a routine for the most advanced dancers at Crystal's Elite Dance Studio. The dance "Vanity" brought home top honors at Regional and National competitions. Beginning in the Fall of 2011, Bryant became a faculty member at the studio, where he became the exclusive teacher of hip hop.
In addition to teaching, Bryant could not resist his drive to perform. He established the dance crew, Toxic Rhythm, which performs at jam sessions throughout the state.
Bryant lives with his cat locally in Rocky Mount, where he also works at the State Employees' Credit Union.
